Lord Shaftesbury and Dr. Barnardo
This week in History, we have been learning about people who went about changing the atrocious conditions which children were working in during the Victorian era. Both Lord Shaftesbury and Dr. Barnardo vowed to help and support poor children especially those trapped in the workhouses.
Your homework this week is to pick one of these influential figures and write a short explanation as to why they were crucial in changing working conditions for children during the Victorian era.
Remember to check your spellings, grammar and punctuation.
I look forward to reading your work.
