    Here are some interesting facts about the Greeks:

    -Zeus started the Greek Olympics.
    -Hera is Zeus`s wife.
    -Zeus is the God of all Gods and also he is the God of Thunder and Lighting.
    -The Greeks believed that there was a God and Goddess for everything.
    -The Greeks also believed that the Greek Gods watched their every move.

    The first recorded Ancient Olympic Games were in 776 BC.The Games were held in a village called Olympia and thats why they are called Oympics!The Olympics were also part of a religious event. They were held in honour of Zeus, the father of the gods and were a big celebration.
