Year 6

Persuasive writing

In Literacy we have been focusing on writing persuasively to sell products and houses, writing pitches to persuade people to give us money and writing brochures toΒ persuade people to go on holiday.

Year 6 Challenge.

In 100 words (only 100 words) write as persuasively as possible to persuade Miss Bray and me not to give you any homework after SATs.

    GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO ARE DOING THEIR SATS. ALL THE BEST!

  2. U Ahmed says:

    I believe that nobody from year 6 should get homework because of several reasons :
    * first of all, after our SAT’s we should have no more lessons or homework because all our learning and revising goes to our SAT’s which will soon go;
    * another is that throughout our own time we have been revising a lot;
    * finally after SAT’s we will only have a few weeks left till we have to leave Copthorne because our time has come so it will be extremely great to have tonnes of fun before we go ( to keep good memories)!!!;) B) πŸ˜‰

  3. I Islam says:

    After SAT’s we should not be given homework because we have had a lot of homework before the holidays and some people already revise at home. Also SAT’s makes some people feel depressed and they are revising really hard to get good results and good levels.Inayah Islam:)

  4. Z Hussain1 says:

    In my opinion I think that we should be given home work after SATS because we might lack knowledge after and if we just play and have no more lessons there is no point of us coming to school we can do all that at home .

  5. M Usaama says:

    After SATs year 6 need no homework. (That’s what I think). All year they have been revising well some of them have and now they NEED A BREAK!!! Homework is just to much and very exhausted. Some of it is too hard.

  9. D Hussain says:

    After SATs we should not be given homework, as we have done a lot of work beforehand. Before SATs we attended booster classes, and at home we have been doing homework and revision. Also after SATs we will only have a few weeks left until we leave Copthorne, so it will be nice to have some fun.

      Good point, but your brain needs to keep working after SATs so that you are prepared for High school, so you I need to make sure you keep working at home πŸ™‚

      • K Mahmood says:

        We shouldn’t be given homework after sats because we have had a lot of homework already and we will be so stressed and we need a break , what if you don’t give us homework but you write a letter home saying “we are not giving homework so we would like you to sit down for 1 hour or 30 minutes to revise or practice for HIGH SCHOOL.”
